Get Started with Cuntas MiTool

Follow the steps below to install Cuntas MiTool in Microsoft Word. It takes just a few minutes.

First, download this small file. It tells Word where to find the Cuntas MiTool add-in.

Download manifest.xml
Use Google Docs? A Google Docs extension is on the way. For now, Cuntas MiTool is available for Microsoft Word.

Windows

For Word on Windows desktop.

Open Word and go to Add-ins

Open any Word document. Click Home in the ribbon, then click Add-ins (or Get Add-ins).

Upload the manifest

In the Add-ins dialog, click Upload My Add-in (top-right corner). Browse to the manifest.xml file you downloaded and click Upload.

Start planning

The Cuntas MiTool button appears on the Home tab. Click it to open the panel and sign in with your Microsoft account.

Mac

For Word on Mac desktop.

Open the Word add-ins folder

Open Finder, press Cmd + Shift + G and paste this path:

~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Word/Data/Documents/wef

If the wef folder doesn't exist, create it.

Copy the manifest file

Copy the downloaded manifest.xml into the wef folder.

Restart Word and start planning

Open (or restart) Word. Click HomeAdd-ins and select Cuntas MiTool.

Word Online

For Word in your browser at office.com.

Open a document in Word Online

Go to office.com and open any Word document.

Upload the add-in

Click HomeAdd-insMore Add-insUpload My Add-in. Select the manifest.xml file and click Upload.

Start planning

The Cuntas MiTool panel opens automatically. Sign in with your Microsoft account to begin.

IT Admin?

Deploy Cuntas MiTool to all teachers in your school via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Go to Settings → Integrated Apps → Upload custom app, and provide the manifest URL. The add-in will appear automatically in teachers' Word ribbon.
