Cuntas MíTool ("we", "our", "the service") is a Microsoft Word Add-in that helps Irish primary school teachers plan their Cuntas Míosúil. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under GDPR.

Who we are

Cuntas MíTool is operated by RogueSpire Software, based in Ireland. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What data we collect

When you sign in and use Cuntas MíTool, we collect and store:

• Name and email address — from your Microsoft or Google account, used to identify your account
• Provider ID — a unique identifier from Microsoft or Google, used to link your sign-in to your account
• Subscription status — whether you are on a free trial or have an active subscription
• Trial start and end dates — to manage your 7-day free trial
• Stripe customer ID and subscription ID — to link your account to your payment subscription

We do not collect or store the content of your Word documents, your lesson plans, or any curriculum data you insert.

On our public website (cuntasmitool.ie), we collect aggregate, anonymous analytics data — page views, referrers, browser types, and country of visit — using Cloudflare Web Analytics. This does not use cookies and does not collect or store any personal data. No consent banner is required.

Why we collect it

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• Authentication — to let you sign in and identify your account (legal basis: contract performance)
• Subscription management — to manage your trial and paid subscription (legal basis: contract performance)
• Payment processing — handled by Stripe; we store only the Stripe customer and subscription IDs, not your payment card details (legal basis: contract performance)

Where your data is stored

• Account data — your name, email, and subscription status are stored on secure servers
• Stripe — your payment and subscription data is managed by Stripe. See Stripe's privacy policy

How long we keep your data

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your data from our database and delete your Stripe customer record. Stripe may retain certain records for their own legal and compliance obligations.

Your rights under GDPR

As an EU/EEA resident, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data (you can also do this directly via Account Settings in the add-in)
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Object — object to processing of your data
• Complain — lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@cuntasmitool.ie. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies and local storage

The add-in uses browser local storage to store your authentication session token and a flag indicating whether the welcome message has been shown. These are strictly necessary for the service to function and do not track you across websites.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
